Your information
Privacy, in plain language.
Effective October 18, 2026
This notice describes information handled by Useful Futures LLC for the Roll Call information website and development-stage skating journal. Available features can differ between the web app and mobile builds.
Visiting this website
The information website does not create app accounts, take payments, or collect journal entries. We have not added advertising trackers, visitor analytics, or optional analytics cookies. Fonts and graphics are served with the website. Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and requested pages to deliver and protect the site.
Accounts and sign-in
Roll Call uses Clerk for authentication. Account information can include your email address, account identifier, profile details you provide, and information needed to support your chosen sign-in method. Clerk processes authentication and related security information. If you use another provider to sign in, that provider also handles information under its own practices.
Your skating journal
Depending on the features you use, Roll Call stores session dates and durations, practice types, rink or location names you type, notes, moves, learning stages, goals, achievements, and related timestamps. The location field records text you enter; Roll Call does not use GPS tracking for this field. It is not a promise that your location is anonymous. Avoid entering information you do not want stored with your journal.
Mobile builds can keep journal information in a local database on your device. Account features can also send journal information to a cloud database for storage and synchronization. Synchronization uses account and device identifiers, record identifiers, versions, and change or deletion history to coordinate copies. Do not assume that everything stays only on your phone.
Videos, audio, and external links
If you select or record a video, Roll Call can process the video, related file details, and an associated thumbnail. Videos may include audio and information about other people or places. Some media may remain on your device; cloud media features upload content to storage. Camera, microphone, and photo-library access depend on the build, the action you choose, and device permissions. You can manage permissions in your device settings.
Linked YouTube videos or thumbnails can cause requests to Google or YouTube. The current web app also requests fonts from Google; this information website serves its fonts locally. Following external links or using a third-party sign-in method involves those providers. Their own notices and settings apply. Do not upload recordings of others without appropriate permission.
Technical and support information
The app and hosting services can process technical request and error information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Development builds can keep diagnostic records on the device. If you send a support request, we receive the contact information, message, and attachments you choose to send. Do not include passwords or sign-in codes.
Why information is used
We use information to provide sign-in, save and display your journal, synchronize supported data, handle media, answer requests, troubleshoot problems, protect accounts, and meet applicable obligations. Authorized personnel may access information when needed for support, administration, or security.
Service providers and disclosures
Providers involved in these functions include Cloudflare for this website, Clerk for authentication, Replit for app infrastructure and database or object-storage services, and Google Workspace for business email. Replit object-storage features use Google Cloud infrastructure. Google or YouTube can also receive requests when their linked media or other resources are used.
Providers process information as part of delivering their services. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and security, or support a business transfer with appropriate handling of the information.
Relevant provider notices: Cloudflare, Clerk, Replit, and Google.
Retention and deletion
Journal and account information is kept to provide the features you use and respond to requests. Sync history, deletion markers, diagnostics, support correspondence, and backups can have different retention needs. Removing an item from a visible list does not necessarily erase every historical or backup copy immediately.
Visit account and data deletion to request deletion of an entire account or particular information. We may need to verify the request, explain steps for offline devices, and retain information for security, legal, or recordkeeping purposes. We do not publish a fixed backup-erasure period. Exported files or device copies you control remain your responsibility.
Your choices
You choose what to enter or upload. You can manage device permissions, ask about access or correction, request deletion, and contact us about privacy questions. Available export tools can help you obtain journal information, but an export may not contain every media file or every category of data. Ask support if you need help understanding what an export includes.
Age and availability
The planned free beta is intended for adults age 18 or older in the United States. Roll Call is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.
Security and updates
We use access controls and service-provider safeguards to help protect information, but no service or device can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this notice as features or practices change. The effective date identifies the current version.
